I am beyond excited to be a member of Team Chameleon! I am a Santa Clara native, and attended SCUSD schools from kindergarten through high school. I am an alumna of San Jose State University where I earned my B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development as well as my M.A. in Education. Previously I have taught fourth grade at Pomeroy Elementary. I am looking forward to an amazing year full of exploration, creativity, and of course, fun! I enjoy crafting, painting, swimming and hanging out with my two cats, Tinkerbell and Indie.

Hi there, I’m Brittany! I am over-the-moon excited to join Team Chameleon and start my journey at Central Park Elementary teaching third grade. I have been facilitating learning and curiosity in third graders for the past three years in a Project Based Learning community. Third grade was my most memorable grade as a student; who doesn’t love multiplication, grammar, and becoming more independent and responsible?!

I am a proud alumna of California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo (Go Mustangs!) where I received my undergraduate degree in Agribusiness. While studying, I found myself drawn to classes in child psychology and elementary education as I completed my electives. My experiences in these classes coupled with my dream to be a teacher when I was young, invigorated my desire to work with students. After graduating from Cal Poly, I attended California State University, Fullerton to complete a Masters in Education with Technology Integration.

I grew up in Southern California with my mom, dad, sister, and brother. Upon receiving my Masters, I moved up to the Bay Area where I appreciate the enriching diversity, and access to the beach, mountains, and bustling cities. My younger sister and I live together in the South Bay and I visit my family in SoCal as often as I can.

I am passionate about health, travel, and technology as a tool in education. If I’m not in the classroom, I am hiking, trying out new plant-based recipes, or playing board games with my friends and family.

I am thrilled to be a Chameleon, honored to become a part of the community, and very excited to learn more about our students and their families!

Sabrina Oyola, 3rd Grade

Sabrina Oyola

I grew up in Redwood City, CA. I knew I wanted to become a teacher my sophomore year in high school when I tutored a 1st grader who was behind in reading, and I was able to see the difference I made.

I went to college and graduate school at UCSD (at the same time as Ms. Cary!) and then moved back to the Bay Area to work at Santa Clara Unified School District where I taught Kindergarten and 3rd grade at Braly Elementary for 11 years.

I have two daughters named Eliana and Brooke. I enjoy riding horses, traveling, and spending time with my family.
