Dear Santa Clara Unified Families: 

Santa Clara Unified School District (SCUSD) is excited to announce the opening of our new centralized Enrollment Center!

The Enrollment Center is scheduled to open on June 24, 2020, and will be located on the Educational Options Campus at 1840 Benton Street (Building H), Santa Clara, CA 95050. The Enrollment Center can be reached Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. 


Starting June 24, 2020, families will complete new student registration and the annual student information update through our online enrollment system. For reference, information and forms are available on our Enrollment webpage. If you need assistance completing a new student registration or the annual student information update please contact the Enrollment Center by emailing enrollment@scusd.net or calling (408) 423-3596. Staff will be assisting families by phone, video conference, and curbside appointments. 


The goal of the Enrollment Center is to provide our students’ families an efficient enrollment process and access to district resources. The Enrollment Center is responsible for new student registration, the annual student information update, proof of residency, open enrollment, inter-district transfers, intra-district transfers, and enrollment appeals.


The Enrollment Center is using a new web-based enrollment system called SchoolMint to support families with new student registration and annual student information update processes for all students enrolled in preschool through 12th grade and in our post secondary program. Families can create an account using an email or phone number through a computer, tablet, or mobile device. Support is available in the Enrollment Center for families who do not have access to technology. 


All students currently enrolled in preschool through 12th grade or in our post-secondary program will need to complete the annual student information update process online through our online enrollment system. You must complete the annual student information update by July 31, 2020, in order for your child to start school on the first day of school. The annual student information update allows families to update parent/guardian contact information, emergency contacts, student health information, and electronically sign yearly consent forms. Additionally, families who will have a student enrolled in grades 3, 6, or 9 or whose address has changed will be required to provide proof of residency (this was previously an annual requirement for all students).  


On June 24, 2020, the primary parent/guardian contact listed in our student information system will receive an email and text message from enrollment@scusd.net with instructions on how to access their family’s online enrollment system account to complete the annual student information update. If you do not receive an email or text message communication, please contact the Enrollment Center.


Once the parent/guardian completes the new student registration or annual student information update process online in our online enrollment system, the Enrollment Center will review the submitted information and documents. Submitting online registration does not officially enroll your student. The parent/guardian will receive a confirmation email, text message, or both (based on the contact information you provide) once the information and documents submitted have been verified and enrollment has been approved.
