Helping Frontline Workers with PPE
Posted 5/23/20

Central Park STEAM Robotics Team members have 3D printed, lasercut and assembled 81 face shields so far to donate to front line workers battling Covid 19. We have been delivering them to many locations around the Bay Area.

To join in, download the Budmen .stl file from the NIH link: https://3dprint.nih.gov/discover/3dpx-013309 or go to the Budmen web site: https://budmen.com/.

FIRST LEGO League team Cats Love Mars is also printing the NIH approved surgical mask tension release bands for ear comfort and extended use. The stl is at: https://3dprint.nih.gov/discover/3dpx-013410 .

For distribution, use the Print for the Cure web site setup by a FIRST Tech Challenge team: https://printforthecure.com/ . Create a donor account, search for PPE requests then claim a request to fulfill. On Print for the Cure, donor and requestor work out the delivery logistics.

If you are printing tension release bands "ear savers", they may also be distributed through Santa Clara County Community Masks Facebook group which handles pickup and delivery. Students will need a parent to post on Facebook as the age limit for FB is 13.

Post a note on the Robotics Team WhatsApp to get the latest information on how to contribute.
