Central Park "Chameleons" Claim 1st Place at Destination Imagination!

Central Park's "Chameleons" team captured 1st place at Destination Imagination on Saturday, March 2nd. They competed in the Project Outreach: Service Learning Challenge presenting the problem of humans feeding ducks in parks.


This team of Kinder to 3rd graders put together such a great project and skit, they will be heading to the California state level competition in April.

Chameleons at DI 1st place

Destination Imagination is a project-based learning program designed to complement K-12 education. DI annually offers seven new academic Challenges in the fields of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), fine arts, service learning, and early learning. In solving a challenge, students learn the creative process from imagination to innovation and the skills needed to thrive in school, their careers and beyond.


The Chameleons Destination Imagination Team is just one of the many teams in the Central Park STEAM Robotics Team, a 501.3c non-profit booster club founded by Central Park Elementary parents.
